| Travels of Mentougou District during the Olympic Games period |

Owning to the competition schedule arrangement during the Olympic Games, the reception and the
business income in our tourist scenic zones were far lower than that at the same time last year.
The diurnal lodging of the star-level guesthouses was steady. Except a higher lodging rate in 14th,
15th August, the diurnal rates of the rest days were lower than that at the same time last year;
and the actual lodging population was lower than that at the same time last year averagely with
slightly higher population than last year on the days of 14th, 15th, 20th August. Characteristic of
the tourist market: First, it is steady generally with slightly decline. The tourist scenic zones
altogether have realized the business income of 1,901,000 RMB and received 41,000 people in total,
12.2% and 12.1% lower compared to the same period last year separately; with 15% room
occupancy rate which has a decline of 13%, the star-level guesthouses have altogether received 4886
people and provided accommodations for 3600 people, 37.3% and 35.7% lower compared to the same
period last year separately; further more, the folk tourism households have realized the business
income of 914,000 RMB altogether and received 21880 people, 65.6% and 70.2% lower compared to the
same period last year. Second, the tourism of the well-known scenic area is prosperous. The Tanzhe
Temple scenic area and the Jietai Temple scenic area enjoy a higher priority of tourists, which
have the reception proportion of 55.8% and income proportion of 62.8% altogether, with 24.0%
increase of reception rate and 20.8% income rate separately. And the Tanzhe Temple scenic area has
altogether realized the business income of 1,065,000 RMB and received 18233 people in total, 33.5%
and 22.6% higher compared to the same period last year separately. Third, accommodation ability of
the star-level guesthouse has been promoted. The number of lodging room has increased from 1187
last year to 1410 this year, with 19% promotion of accommodation ability. And the two star-level
guesthouses occupies 55.3% in proportion of reception and 57.3% in proportion of lodging among the
star-level guesthouses, with 18% increase of lodging and a balance reception compared to last
year.
